OAK GROVE PET SITTING AND DOG WALKING, LLC POLICIES & SERVICE AGREEMENT
All uses of the phrase “Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC, We or Us” shall refer to Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC. The client referred to as “Client, Customer, or You.”

Scheduling & Visit times: Scheduling is on a first-come first-service basis and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC will visit at the requested times as closely as possible. However, if an unforeseen situation arises, the time may be adjusted.

Confirmation of Visits: The client will be responsible for confirming visits on OGPS Portal are accurate, no less than two days before each departure. Since phone mail messages or emails are not 100% reliable, please make sure we speak personally or email is acknowledged by Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC if any changes are required. Please do not depart town without reviewing their reservations). This is to ensure your pet's needs are carried out as intended.

PAYMENT: Payment is due before the start of service. A credit card must be added onto the precise pet care account and is the only form of payment accepted. Billing will occur the Saturday prior to when service starts. Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC will add $35 plus bank fees for any returned check.

EARLY RETURNS: We understand your plans change and are very flexible if notified. If you return home early, please notify us immediately. If, however, you do not notify Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC of an early return and we make a trip or are en route, the regular per visit charge applies.

CANCELLATIONS: We understand your plans change and we, generally, do not charge for cancellations with adequate notice. However, if you cancel 5 days or less prior to the date of the first visit there will be a 50% cancellation fee. If you have already been billed for the services any refund will be credited to your precise pet care account for future services, not refunded to your credit card.

HOLIDAY CANCELLATIONS: Please understand that pet sitting services receive more requests for reservations than they can handle during holiday time periods and we may have turned away other clients because we have reserved time for you during a busy season. If you cancel 14 days or less before a major holiday week, you will be charged for 50% of the entire reservation (this includes cancelling for Covid or weather-related reasons). Major holidays are the week of New Year's Day, Presidents Day Weekend and Week, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve.

Almost Overnight/Overnight Pet Sitting Cancellations: Our overnight pet service is in high demand and limited due to the nature of the service. Employees are selected at the time of the reservation, limiting their other non-overnight visits. A non-refundable deposit is required for 50% of the reservation. If canceled 30 days before the start date, the deposit is non-refundable. If cancelled less than 3 weeks from the start date, payment in full is due.

New Clients: Any new client who books 1 month or more out will need to put down a 25% deposit for the first set of visits.

Frequently of visits: We only pets EVERYDAY. We do not offer service at a frequency of every other day or any other frequency that is not at minimum one visit per day. This is an industry standard and is required for the safety of the pets. If we are made aware that the client is leaving before visits are starting or returning after visits have ended we will suspend any future service.

Inclement Weather: Primarily severe storms, snow/ice conditions etc. You will allow Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC to use the best judgment in caring for your pets(s) and home if we are servicing you at the time of inclement weather. Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC will try to carry out your instructions to the best of our ability. The care we provide to our customer's pets and their safety is our first concern. Customer selection of a nearby emergency contact has been requested. The inclement weather plan will be as follows: 1) Every effort will be made to drive to your home; 2) The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, or altered due to circumstances; 3) If it is not possible to drive safely to your home, your emergency contact will be notified, 4) You will be notified that the above-mentioned contingency plan has been activated.

Emergency Contact: Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC has requested the name and phone number of a person living nearby (with access to your home). This should be a person close enough to walk to your home if roads are impassable (for example, a neighbor). If we are physically unable to drive to your home this information is needed so that we can contact this person to request their assistance to check on your pet(s). Please remember that garage door openers are not operational in the event of power outages. In the event that the customer does not provide a nearby emergency contact with access to your home for Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC, the customer realizes that we will provide service but not until conditions allow us to reach your home safely.

Medications/Vaccinations: Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC will attempt to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. Excessively shy cats with medical problems can be a serious risk. If you have such an animal, this must be thoroughly discussed. Under no circumstances will Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC service any pet that has any form of contagious illness. This is for the safety of other customers. Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC requires that all pets have the necessary vaccinations, immunizations or titers before service begins, with NO EXCEPTIONS. If Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC pet care provider is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the client's pet(s) which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may incur.

Access to your Home by Others: If a customer allows any other person(s) access to their home during Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC contract period, we cannot be held liable for any damages to property or pets as a result. It is critical you notify Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC if someone will be in your home. (family member, contractor, housekeeper, neighbor) Please also notify the person(s) in your home that Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC is coming so that your visitor, as well, is not surprised by our entrance. Updated March 2020 - Due to COVID-19, we are limiting outside persons in your home when we care for your pets. If you need someone to be in your home or visit on a day, please contact Robin Lucas, Owner, to discuss when you place your reservation.

Fences: Fenced in yards are wonderful play spaces for pets, however, no fence system is totally secure for your pet's safety. Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC does not accept responsibility or liability for any customer's pets that escape, are injured, fatally or otherwise, or become lost when pets are left out or given access to a fenced in area. This includes electronic, wood, metal or any other fence types.

Pet and house clean-up: Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC will properly dispose of pet waste and do our best to clean up any accidents your pet may have. We are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet(s). We do request that you provide plastic bags, towels, cleaning products, paper towels and trash bags and indicate where you would like the waste disposed of.

Litter Boxes: Litter boxes are excepted to be reasonably clean at the time of the first visit. If we arrive for the first visit and the litter box is abnormally full with several days of waste there will be a $25 charge issued to the invoice. A picture will be provided.

Leashes: All dogs will be required to be on leash during outdoor walks. There will be no exceptions. We do not use retractable leashes. A non-retractable leash must be provided for all dogs that are walked.

Unforeseen purchases: Any additional necessary costs such as food, litter, cleaning supplies or other necessary items that contribute to the health and well being of your pet will be purchased by Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC. We will retain a receipt and the customer will be responsible for reimbursement of these items. A $15 trip fee will be applied.

Animal Behavior: Animals behavior can be unpredictable. Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC does not accept responsibility or liability for animal behavior, normal or otherwise, which results in injury to the client's animals or property. Further, if a Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC pet care provider is harmed or injured by the client's animals, the client/owner accepts full responsibility for the cost of any necessary medical attention required by either the Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC pet care provider or by the animals.

Updates: Please provide us with any changes regarding your pet's care and other pertinent information.

Home Entry and Keys: All clients are required to have a key in a secure lockbox for entry into the house for visits. You can purchase and use one of your own or you can purchase a lockbox directly from us at cost. Our preferred lockbox is Master Lock lock box 5400EC. Please let us know if you would like to purchase a lockbox from us before your meet and greet. We can arrange to have it shipped to your house or brought to your home during the meet and greet. If you intend for the sitter to enter the house through a door or garage keypad you are still required to have a key in a lockbox located outside of the house as a secondary method of entry. We have encountered loss of power or batteries dying in keypad devices. Whatever door we will be entering, the door should open with ease. If there is any problem with a lock on a door we will be entering through, this will need to be corrected before visits start. Please note due to liability and our insurance requirements, we do not share visits with other pet sitting companies or friends/family. OGPS sitters can be the only one to have access to your house during the time of your scheduled visits. This also includes contractors. If work is being done at your home inside or outside while you are out of town, we will not be able to accommodate visits during that time. Should keys become unusable, lock malfunctions, client fails to leave a key or for any other reasons beyond the control of Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC control, client authorizes to Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC employ the services of a locksmith to gain entry into client's home on client's behalf. Client will be responsible for all expenses incurred and reimburse Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC upon return.

Thermostat: Please leave your thermostat settings within a normal comfortable range (64-78°F). If the house temperature is outside of this range, Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC pet care provider will adjust the thermostat. This is to ensure the health and comfort of your pets and Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC pet care provider during our time of service.

Client Return: Client must notify Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC when you have returned home. You can use the featured arrived home safe in the OGPS portal.

Animal Emergency: I authorize Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC to transport my pet(s) to a veterinarian in the event of their illness or injury and authorize treatment deemed necessary by the veterinarian. In the event the pet is in need of hospitalization; Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC is authorized to leave the pet until the pet can be transported home. If at-home medication is prescribed, Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC has my permission to administer the directed dosage. If Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC incurs any medical expenses for the pet's treatment, I will reimburse that amount plus transportation fees, time spent as applicable.

Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time before or during its term if Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC determines that Client's pet poses a danger to the health and safety of herself/himself or others. If concerns prohibit Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC from caring for pet, Client authorizes pet to be placed at their vet with all charges to be charged to Client.

Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time before or during its term.

Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring, professional and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC.

I have read, understand and agree to the pet care policy of Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC. All policies and guidelines are subject to change Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC.

In the event the pet is in need of hospitalization; Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC is authorized to leave the pet until the pet can be transported home. If at-home medication is prescribed, Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC has my permission to administer the directed dosage. If Oak Grove Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, LLC incurs any medical expenses for the pet's treatment, I will reimburse that amount plus transportation fees, time spent as applicable.

OGPS sitters can be the only one to have access to your house during the time of your scheduled visits. This also includes contractors. If work is being done at your home inside or outside while you are out of town, we will not be able to accommodate visits during that time.
